Mamamuti cacao buttons are 100% pure and are commonly referred to as cacao paste with nothing added, or removed. The natural healthy fat (cacao butter) in the cacao remains intact, facilitating optimal absorption of key nutrients. Full fat = full nourishing power!
It is made by fermenting, sun drying and toasting the beans, removing the husk, then stone-grinding them down to create a paste. The paste is moulded and set into our easy to use cacao buttons.

Each serve of our cacao buttons lovingly connects you directly to the farmers and communities in the cacao growing region of Central Peru. This premium cacao has a delicious, smooth, chocolate flavour and is tended to in areas where, for years, there were issues with the cocaine cartel, farmer exploitation and extreme poverty. Growing these illegal crops was the only option these cacao farmers had. Thankfully these rich, fertile lands have now been rescued and the farmers have returned to their thousand year old tradition of cultivating some of the worlds best cacao. This heart opening strain of shade-grown Central Amazonian cacao promotes biodiversity and improves soil fertility.

Serving suggestion: For one serve, simply take 5 buttons (20g), melt with 3/4 cup hot water or nut milk. Whisk or blend for 15 seconds. Optionally add sweetener.
