Mamamuti Cacao and Orange Truffles

Mamamuti Cacao and Orange Truffles

These are the truffles people will ask you to bring to every gathering.

Seriously.

Take these to your next dinner party and prepare yourself for recipe requests. Trust me on this one. It’s ridiculously simple … and might make your toes curl with delight.

INGREDIENTS

40 Mamamuti Pacific Pure Cacao & Vanilla Buttons
1/2 cup coconut cream
1/2 cup maple syrup
Zest of half an orange
A pinch of salt
Mamamuti Cacao Powder, for dusting

METHOD
  1. Finely chop the Mamamuti Pacific Pure Cacao & Vanilla Buttons. This is a very important step, so don’t skip it. The finer you can chop the buttons, the better.
  2. Before you do anything else, put on your favourite playlist. This recipe pairs exceptionally well with hip hop and questionable dance moves.
  3. Pour the coconut cream and maple syrup into a saucepan.
  4. Heat gently until just steaming.
  5. Add the orange zest and a pinch of salt.
  6. Pour in the finely chopped Mamamuti cacao and whisk until thick and glossy.
  7. You may need to add a touch more coconut cream if the mixture begins to separate.
  8. Pause for a little kitchen dance while the mixture comes together. Highly recommended.
  9. Pour into a lined container and chill in the fridge for 2–3 hours, or until firm.
  10. Place some Mamamuti Cacao Powder into a shallow bowl.
  11. Using a teaspoon, scoop portions of the chilled mixture and gently roll them into little balls.
  12. Roll each truffle in the cacao powder until generously coated.

Makes approximately 25 truffles.

Turn the music up. Pleasure is the purpose.
