All of your favourite spices or citrus will pair well with cacao tea. Enjoy hot or chilled, sweet or milky - the options are yours to explore!
This is my personal favourite way to prepare cacao tea...
Ingredients and equipment
2 tsps. (4-5g) of Mamamuti Cacao Husk Tea
250ml of boiling water
Teapot or infuser
Slice of orange or lemon, a few lemon verbena leaves (optional), a small piece of ginger grated, and a teaspoon of honey if making iced tea.
Method to make hot tea:
Add 2 tsps. (4-5g) of cacao tea to a teapot or infuser.
Add 250ml boiling water, brew for 4-5 minutes (longer if you like it strong), then pour and enjoy.
Method to make iced tea:
Follow the instructions above, then cool in the fridge.
Serve over ice with a slice of orange or lemon, some crushed lemon verbena leaves and a teaspoon of honey.
You can also play by adding a pinch of cinnamon, a little vanilla paste, whole cardamom pods or a chai spice mix.
